Do you think reporting Spoofs helps accounts look legit?
So within the last week Ive gotten a REALLY good spoof email. The links were all good, and my name was in the email. There were no grammar errors or anything. Ive had my fair share of spoofs and can always spot one 99% of the time. But this one was different.
So I called paypal with a PP case ID that was provided in the email and they told me there is no such case number and to change my PWs and also to change my PW. I did and was very relieved because I was quite drunk and I did not want to try and explain what the hells going on with my account.
Anyways, everything was clear and I did submit the email to spoof at paypal like requested. I wouldve anyways because of the quality of this spoof is unheard of so far.
So my question is, do you think forwarding spoofs makes your account look more legitimate if it was shady? Even if they are blatantly obvious. Any inputs appreciated.
