Whats the most you can send on Paypay as a gift?

I, know that it is bad in so many ways to send money as a gift on paypal.

Mostly because there is no buyer protection.

Im just curious whats the most you can send from paypal to paypal as a gift?

Paypal to paypal as a service or goods you can send up to $10,000 in any one transaction.

Can you send $10,000 as a gift from paypal to paypal?

I would think you can send however much you want...

PayPal will likely flag any really large transactions though.

So your saying that paypal would flag any large transaction sent via gift?

Do you think paypal would freeze the funds and put a hold on the money?

How long do you think the hold would be if you sent $10,000 as a gift?

Impossible to say.

Depends on dozens on factors like the age of the accounts, how often large sums like that are sent ect ect

It would always be a much better idea to send that sort of $$ via a method not involving PayPal

Send that amount of money a more secure way, it's just not worth the risk, unless your account is 5 years old and have been making large transactions like this for years and the account your sending the funds to is also aged verified, has a tax ID and years of selling history than I wouldn't risk it

The big problem is that you can cause both accounts to get limited and than with that kind of money you will need to produce a lot of documentation and than have it locked up for 6 months and it's not a guarantee that they will give it back

$10,000 transactions raises flags in the real world in Paypal's world it could make a disaster

Best be a long standing high dollar account that is also sending to another long standing high dollar account.
Not your everyday transaction and almost always need to call into paypal...

Something I'd only do if I been running an eBay motors business selling cars for years, so the account is used to large transactions

I payed a partner and funded a factory this way for years. Used to be able to send 50k a pop everyday. Now 10k... Best done with paypal's complete cooperation.
Don't do it much anymore but I do use paypal for instant bank transfers to get around the federal reserve hold, but that is not relevant to this thread.

An aged paypal account with a good selling history is very stable and does work like advertised, but if the account is a new stealth which I think the OP is speaking of , than moving that large sums will trigger all kinds of problems

I have paypal accounts that are 2+ years and good selling history that are strong, and I can do anything with them, I'll pass thousands a week no issues

Everyone wants accounts to operate like this right away and that is why there are so many limitations
