Default Pay Pal sent this message....

Pay pal message received. It says We're asking for your tax id or ss number due to new rules from the IRS. Please provide this info today so you can enjoy uninterrupted use of pay pal. This account is in a family members name and they asked that I do not submit their ss number for tax return purposes because it will make their income appear much greater than it actually is resulting in no money back and having to pay in. What are my options at this point (other than submitting the ss#)

Never use family info...problems invariably arise doing it

According to the Stealth Book I purchased it states to always use family info when available.

If it were a stealth account in a strangers name how would I handle this issue?

Its SO important to search the posts in this forum....things change...things update from experience.
One thing we have all.agreed on is that using family info is a.recipe for disaster. Maybe not straight away...but eventually.

Im living proof of that. Too long.a story.but i had two accounts.shut down due to using.family info. A.family row ensued and the rest is history :-)

Their are pros and cons i believe dependent on your country.
But stealth is easy once you set yourself a plan and be sure to post it on here if you are unsure..everything needs to be different to ensure no links....no family info also.
I strongly.suggest you take a step back for a short while and familiarise yourself with this forum. Ive learnt loads for scouring all the posts and i even learnt something new today on here. So important to keep up to date with the posts :-)

Stop using the accounts. Spread sales to other accounts.
NEVER USE FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!
It is bad in all ways. Hundreds if not thousands of threads about this.

You can turn the accounts into businesses and add EIN.

If your family member has specifically asked you not to submit SSN, then pls follow their request. You can read around the forums on upgrading to business account and providing EIN but it does take some reading.

Go slow and use more than one ebay account, and keep an eye out for 200 transactions and OR 20,000 in SALES.
