I am getting about 5 phishing PP wannabies a year per account...
Best is to have a look at the sender in details

I agree.

I even check the 'real' one to make sure there is no trap.

If the email says: Dear Costumer, they should really do better.

And, NEVER, EVER click on a link in an email that wants you to verify any personal information. If you get a request for information from eBay, Amazon or PayPal, just log in the normal way through your browser. If there TRULY is an issue, you will have a message waiting for you in their system.

In view of a couple of emails posted here from other users, there has been a considerable slip in the standards.

Still cringeworthy the efforts made .

I've seen similar scams with Bank of America. They capture your user name and password. So Green Bean, is this something you should tell Amazon or is it a good idea to not have a person peeking at your account while they are answering your email. I always wonder, I try to keep my communication at a minimal because I'm afraid of them prying.

In this situation yes. However, sometimes I need to contact them about an issue on the accounts and am afraid to do so. I understand that employees at Amazon are compartmentalized and may not even be trained to look at a seller account, but don't know if they get some prompt or something about possible linking etc...

As luck would have it, one was mah genuine real mccoy account.

Bar stewards did not even acknowledge the email.

Although, they do state this.

Preferable to send them info to catch the ratbags.

Reinvention of the English language - COST-umer indeed.

We get these spam up here for BMO, RBC, CIBC banks so heads up if you use them
