Default My Attorney's Demand Letter

Hey all,

I have been trying to get PayPal to unlimit my account with NO prevail. I have gotten fed up. I have contacted an attorney, currently I'm talking to two and one of them is going to send a demand letter of closure or reinstatement of my account to PayPal. I'm sick of PayPal.

I'll update you as it goes. I've sent to all PayPal emails I can find a warning. I have complained to the BBB. Now, It's time for an attorney to step in. I'm not stopping until the account is closed or reinstated.

They have told me the only way to get an explanation was using a lawyer and attorney. Fine. I will.

So, yeah guys, what do you think?

Lost everything on one account. The other we recouped some funds until attorney got involved and lost the balance. They insist we just settle it in court. You have to sue paypal in the state they are incorporated in. Not worth it to me, especially seeing as both accounts were not mine, just my money. Retainer of 10K to recoup 19K in one account does not make sense to me.

If we were not pushy, demanding and threatening, I am sure 180 days would have been fine.

Is this a business account?
Personal accounts are more likely not to loose funds if you prove identity. The moment you upgrade(sometimes they make you) you can have more issues and longer holds. Whole different beast. Usually better but not in this case.

This is my personal account. It is registered as a business account. I want the demand letter to get the reason why I was limited and to close or reinstate my account. It's registered with real info.

On what grounds did you get a permanent limitation?

I don't know because their policy is they can't tell me. The letter will also get that info from them.

These accounts were too. They were collecting 38k and 55k average monthly sales. One had 26K held, got much of that back until we threatened legal action.

The other lost 19K altogether.
We know what the issue is. One, the account holder had no credit(not bad, but non) and paypal wanted to hold 20% rolling reserve for a six month review.
The other the account holder had terrible credit and paypal wanted to hold 50% rolling reserve for one year.
Both accounts were linked because they were brothers and shared some info. Both accounts costs me a hard lesson.

Wait what? This isn't about getting money back. This is about getting info about why I was suspended and getting my account reinstated or closed.

OK, were there customer complaints?

chargebacks?

Quick & big increase of incoming funds?

Items being sold on ebay questionable?

Is the ebay associated with this paypal still active or suspended too?

From your own pov, you should have some suspicions for this happening.

Your issue is all about a reason? Not about funds?

Why waste your energy? Not being rude, just don't understand.

Just start another account, this is how eBay and PayPal operate, when you sign up you agree that they can terminate there business with you without notice.

It's a private company , they don't like giving exact reasons out because that will expose there security which will allow people to circumvent there limitations.

What's the difference why they limited your account? They will just give some BS answer anyway , and your going to lose time and Money to get whatever they want to tell you

I feel for you and been there, and it is the worst especially when you rely on them to make a living, but the best thing to do is to focus on how to operate and play there game to get back to selling

It's never going to be where you have one account for life and thats its, that's just not how it works, and a letter from an attorney is not going to change that, it's just going to get you a generic reason or any reason they want to say

Are you sure? This isn't some stupid generic answer thing. This is about my information being held and my account. The fix to this is either a reinstatement or closure for PayPal.

Just look at all the members in this forum , we have all been through what you are going through and it happens every single day, just be lucky that you didn't have tens of thousands of dollars locked being held

Most are outraged not just because of the limitation but because they had $50K to $100K in their paypal account when it was limited and have to wait now 6 months to get that released

So you got out easy if your only problem is the account is limited , learn stealth, once you learn how to operate it takes no time at all to create as many account as you like

I know stealth. I just want to know if you think I will go anywhere with this. I'm pretty sure PayPal won't want to spend money (because that's all they want) on a legal case.

You kidding?

YOU will spend money. They wont. It will cost them nothing. Seriously, what can you possibly sue them for? WHta can you take them to court for if no funds are lost? What are your damages?

So, they dont want to do business with you. You think threatening legal action will make them want to? What judge in this world would make a PRIVATE company do business with someone they dont want to do business with?

So over the past decade+ of ebay I have blocked a few thousand users. What paypal is doing to you is exactly the same thing as that. When one of the blocked people ask why they are blocked(when they can even get a hold of me) I either say, "Because I don't want you as a customer" or I don't say anything at all.
When they complain more or say I am horrible, or threaten actions because I wont sell to them, I say, "If I am so horrible and you are going to sue me and report me to the BBB, why do you insist to do business with me?" and never reply again.

Paypal is doing the same thing to you. It is exactly the same. You have ZERO damages and will cost paypal nothing at all. They wont even reply to your attorney most likely. Why would they?

Again, they will give you a generic reason like suspicious activity, they don't have to go into any details, even through an attorney. Their TOS are strong to get away with anything. So imo it's just a waste of time/money just for your ego to be relieved
