My advice,
Find something you can offer you Chinese supplier, try to understand Chinese people and what they want from life, for their family future etc. Depending on your country you might be able to offer something to them or their boss that real has some value.
Live in the UK? just look at the amount of Chinese students travelling from overseas to gain UK degree - is your supplier thinking of sending his kid over? there will be a lot you can do to help.
Live in Canada? buying real estate there is huge for Chinese, anyone you know working in this field that you can connect some dots with?
Success these days means you have to really think outside the box and give yourself some added value. Im sure if you think hard enough you can give your supplier something that will be of value to them.
