Question Suspended for Shill bidding! Any chance of reinstatment?

Any chance of reinstatement on this one? I was suspended for 30 days in the past and I dont know why but I needed this one item to sell for a certain price and they caught me. Yes, it was stupid... :(

Now when I log on to my ebay account I get "Registration blocked. Users whose registered status is blocked must resolve any outstanding complaints on file before proceeding. Please resolve all outstanding complaints and try again." and was sent a MC038 and a MC013. The funny thing though is this is what the MC013 says:

Hello i3i11thewi11 (i3i11thewi11@xxx.com),

Your account has been suspended for a minimum of xxxNumberofDaysxxx for the following reason:

xxxReasonxxx

xxxReinstatement/ResolutionPath?xxx

During the period of suspension you can't use eBay in any way, including registering a new account or using an additional existing account. If you owe any fees, they will be charged to the billing method you have on file.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Which doesn't really help, tried to call but the phone support says to have nothing to do with the Trust and Safety deparment, so I left an email. What should I do? I would really like to have the account back (of course).

shill bidding is just as bad as SNP so if you get suspended for it chances are for no reinstatement till after 30 days if that is what they gave you. also since you logged in the 30 days starts but do not open any new accounts or log into any other accounts as that 30 will turn into indefinatly suspended and have no chance to get it reinstated.

i got shill bidding but got only the tuturial i had to take but i have a feeling it was just for 1 item that a family member got from me.

How long is a blocked account suspended for usually? Since in my case it wasn't clearly listed.

Two suspensions for shill bidding? Very very unlikely. Make a new account and move ahead. BTW, never shill bid again, it always backfires.

I absolutely disagree shill bidding is for losers.
Which seller wants to sell an item with a face value of 400 USD for 150 because some idiots are bidding 1 dollar at a time? On the last hour it has barely reached 100 USD. You don't do business to lose money.

I agree. I just wish I knew what BLOCK REGISTRATION meant. I tried emailing them and asking if it's just another 30 day thing or not but have not received a reply. The initial email that stated my account was suspended did not give a valid lenght or detials on what to do.

the message probably says BLOCKED and not block Simply it means that the registered user name can not be used at all in any way.
FYI sending emails like that will not see anything being done in your favor to your account. ebay get really p****d with those and ignore them
Time to move on and create new accounts.

ebay may have closed down your account completely and if they did that account cannot be used or reopened and makes it very hard to get another account again

heres what I just recieved:

Dear Bill,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your suspended account.

Unfortunately, after reviewing all the circumstances and considering the
seriousness of Shill Bidding, we've decided that your suspension must
remain in effect for 30 days from the date it was issued.

Shill Bidding is bidding that artificially increases an item's price or
apparent desirability. It's also bidding by members who may have access
to information about an item that isn't available to the general
community.

Before your account can be reinstated, you'll need to take a brief
tutorial on Shill Bidding that can help you avoid problems like this in
the future. If you haven't already taken the tutorial, you'll get a
message asking you to take it the next time you sign in to your account.

Your account will be automatically reinstated once you've completed the
tutorial and 30 days have passed.

so this means I'm off the hook after 30 days?

it means you got off lightly because i have seen people get suspended indefinitly but wait the 30 days and after you take the tuturial you will get reinstated. i got caught on this once and got to take the tutorial but never got suspended

Stupid question, but instead of shill bidding, why do you not simply end the listing.......

thats a good question but if there are bids you cant end it early i believe. not sure if you can but that proabably was better doing that instead of shill bidding

Ending it early is against eBay's policy. You're not OFF the hook after you end an item early. They'll definitely look into that.
eBay are so uptight it's unbelievable!!!!!

Ending early is much better than cheating by shill bidding. Even with bids, you can do that. Now if you are stupid and continually end items early, you will get killed....

The whole point is learn from your mistakes. Do not ever put something up for auction if you are not willing to take a low price......

Some sellers shill bid to bump up the last bid - if the same bidder put in multiple bids towards the end and the bidder is on top. Ebay now has a sophisticated bot to detect shilling. You have to be really careful if you are consistently doing this as you will probably be caught.

Indeed. So be damn careful that you NEVER SHILL BID.

I can just see it, a dozen newbies coming here crying they got suspended because of shill bidding. It is one of ebay's hates and most dishonest.I do not
give a damn about the precious profit a seller wants.
Shill bid=cheating. End of
