Re: Happy Christmas
I hope you feel better soon! I can identify with pain, in fact more than I care to!
I would also like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whatever your holiday might be.
Remember your friends and family and keep them close always, because none of us knows for sure how much time anyone has left. So many people feel there is plenty of time to reach out to that old friend, or family member... until there isn't. Even someone with no history of medical issues that seems perfectly healthy can be taken at any moment. It happens. So let the people you love know that you love them.
Remember those who are not as fortunate as you. Money always helps, but is not required. You could help the elderly lady down the street by plowing her driveway, or by volunteering at a soup kitchen, or an animal shelter.
If you are considering a dog or a cat for your family, won't you at least CONSIDER adoption? There is no such thing as a second-class living creature. Every dog in the Benji movies was a shelter animal. The only thing wrong with most of the animals in a shelter is they lack a loving human to take care of them and give them a loving home. By adopting, you save TWO lives! The life of the animal you adopt, and the life of the animal who takes their place. Over 50,000 dogs and cats are killed each week in the USA for lack of homes. It does NOT have to be this way!
Remember that Christmas isn't about trees or presents, but about PEOPLE.
