Default PP SNAD Case

Hello,
Long story short, a buyer left a negative feedback on ebay calling me scammer and that I ripped him off. Transaction is more than a month old. So I contacted and asked him to print the shipping label (which I will be charged for it) and send the goods back for a full refund. I offer 60 days refund policy. Instead he opened a SNAD case on PP asking for a full refund. I contacted him back and asked him politely to send the good (I provide shipping label) but instead he called me an idiot and a thief.
I had ZERO defect rate before this negative feedback and I really offer a great after sale customer services. All I want is my item back but this so called buyer is looking for a freebie. Will PP refund his money and let them keep the goods ? I’m not used to such kinds of issues have any of you guys had similar situations?

What is the value of the item in question? Is it considered "risky" ie f*ke or so? Important questions to address.

Be aware that this buyer may decide to send crap back instead of the item too :(

The item is not risky. I offered a shipping label to return it but instead he went to PP and opened a claim. He messaged me this morning saying that scammers like me should be reported. I dont know what i did wrong. i've been an active seller since 2006 and never dealt with such a sucker.
Will PP side with the buyer even if he doesn't return the item back?

This is very easy to handle.
Stop communicating altogether. It is not helping clearly.
On paypal have buyer return the item. It is at the buyers cost not yours.
When he does not return the item, case closes in your favor and you can have the feedback removed if it does not happen automatically.

There is no option in PP to ask the buyer to return it. The available options beside sending a message are:

Grant a full refund
Offer a partial refund
Escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim

Escalate then. Paypal will require the buyer to send it back for a refund.

Escalate the case.

Buyer will (99% of the time) be required to return the item at their own cost for a refund.

The buyer is the scammer in his initial message on ebay he stated that out of 10 items purchased, two were faulty. So he has 8 items in perfect condition and still doesn't want to send them back.
He just reply to my message on PP saying that all the 10 items arrived broken!! i will escalate it to PP claim by Monday. gzzzzzz. What annoys me is the feedback he left calling me scammer and idiot, even before trying to contact me. And Ebay rep didn't bother to check my selling history to determine the outcome of the transaction( i had zero defect rate, now it's 0.08 )

I will need to get some opinions I've read stories about PP being unfair with sellers. I do valuable your advice. Thank you all for being helpful.

I noticed you did not reply directly to the questions though?

What is the value of the items?

What stops you working out a deal with this toe rag beyond telling us of your defect rate and the fact he is a scammer.

the value is $299. I offered partial refund for the faulty items (2 items); he wasn't happy. Then I offered a full refund + I pay for the return label. He stopped communicating right away and opened a claim with PP instead.
