May not always get the e-mail but in general, 180 days is the period to wait - time it well

Sorry is what it says above specifically -

After your account is limited and your money is stuck, you do not need to contact them in any way to initiate the 180 day countdown?

I obviously want my money, but I'd rather not contact them!

thx

I am in the same boat as you...but I did came across someone who had this problem. He clearly said that we need to contact them or else it will be 360 days! I have been emailing them a few times without any response >.<

Never heard of 360 days, only heard of 180 days, never getting the funds or the account being reviewed every 30 - 45 days.

Be careful as there are two different paypals involved.

paypal usa handles issues differently.

paypal UK is undergoing changes. We have said this before .

Keep in mind every paypal account with a limitation will be treated differently as well.

I had 45 day holds on linked accounts, nothing happened after 45 days, considerable hassle even getting them to send me the 180 day notice. The Dublin office gives you complete BS. Cowboy organisation, certainly illegal if they are ever held to account.

for US. If you blast email them you might get less than 180 days.

Hi, just want to tell my story so I might cheer up some of you guys about your hold.

I got an email about a 180 day hold of quite a large sum of money, back in mid December, had a few follow up emails which basically said the same thing, constantly telling me I had to wait.

They asked for confirmation of identity. I sent nothing and replied to none of the emails. Suddenly a couple of days ago I got told that there was money in my account waiting to be withdrawn to a bank account. I then transferred all of the money and it's fine in my bank, no problems. The account is still limited but I just wanted to say that perhaps pp are now letting people randomly withdraw their money even though they initially say 180 day wait?

Hope more of you can sort out the transfer before 180 days too.

Dani
