Limited but not because of ebay ??
Recently I've sold a few regular items around the house and have been OK with transfering money to my bank account. Recently I sent my friend 200$ since my bank account wasnt activated yet, and in return my friend gave me my 200$ in cash. The problem is now paypal has limited us both until we provide "further" information. I don't understand why because this was a simple money sent for goods and nothing shady or related to ebay at all. It actually tells my friend "not to send the item paid for" until the situation is resolved. This is blowing my mind because there was never even an item bought to begin with, just a simple pp to pp money transfer. Any clue why they are doing this? I can't possibly provide address and SS# for obvious reasons of why I'm on this forum, but my friend can. On the other hand, it gives him a deadline of oct 25 to respond and on my account it says the money will either been sent or returned to me. This would be good as I could get my money back to my paypal, and just return him the cash but I'm still scared that won't be the end of it and they'd still require information for me to send it into my bank (even though the issue would technically be "resolved").
Please does anyone have any experience of what to do in this case? Should my friend just call them since his information is legit? Any chance they'll leave me alone once it is resolved? Thanks.
