I've read a few stories of people being banned from PayPal as pretty much all payments into the account come from invoices sent by the seller. Anybody have any experience of this?
Just how well dies PayPal work with having verlittle or no connection to eBay?

Doesnt matter if its ebay or not...if something raises a flag, youll be limited. The 21 day holds are still in place, although youll get your money in 7 days if marked as processed or shipped. OR 3 days after item is delivered if you input shipping information.
I hardly ever use eBay and have been using PayPal as a payment processor for years without any issues (many many stealth accounts). Same limits apply as far as 200/20k transactions, 21 day holds etc
While I don't like using PP in general unless absolutely necessary, I have used PP sporadically for collections and such - it does work fine outside of eB
using PayPal mostly outside of eBay.
