Has anyone else been hit with this stupid rule?
Hi Paypal Team,
This morning I received the email below, asking me to provide certain documents to verify my compliance with your policies.
I immediately provided the documents, but your phone advisor Sam informed me that there is a 3-4 week wait to have the documents reviewed by your team, during which time my business is unable to receive or withdraw funds.
Your action has effectivley closed my business without reasonable notice or justification.
If you had given me 3- 4 weeks notice to provide the documents it would be reasonable to freeze my account if I didn't comply by the due date, but to initiate a restriction like this without due cause is unconscionable.
I expect that this issue is also being experienced by many business owners who rely 100% on Paypal to carry on their trade.
Your policy is unreasonable, unfair and most likely in breach of the Australian Trade Practices Act.
On behalf of all the account holders affected by your crippling actions I demand that you immediately lift the restriction on our accounts and change your compliance policy so that we can either continue trading while you review our compliance or else give us reasonable time to comply.
