A 12 Years Old is selling items on eBay!!

I bought a item recently on eBay.

The seller refunded me without any explanation. Had my funds but listed the same item again.
I did report it. The seller is clearly breaking eBay policy.

When I messaged the seller regarding this and asking them
what was the issue that you refunded back

The seller said...my bid was low and he wanted a higher bid.
This is not allowed

Anyway. The seller emailed back to me I am only 12 years of age

How can a 12 years old sell items on eBay?

Is the seller breaking eBay policy?
Surely you have to be 18 years of age

Yes. But eBay cannot see who is pressing the keys.

Hell, many of the adults ACT like 12 year olds anyway. I doubt a real 12 year old could be much worse...

If you want to cause them problems...you can if they sent that email thru eBay messages....

They'll kick them off, then sort it out....

It would't matter to me....if they're not, they should't be saying they are and vice versa...I'd report them and forward that message quicker than you can say ," don't do it"....

I started selling on ebay when I was in middle school. back then it was "click here if you agree you are over 18". CLICK. lol

Yea, I was 16 when I first started selling on eBay back in the day. Amazing its already been over 10 years. Its not the age that is the problem. Its the fact that they aren't honoring their auction.

I reported it to eBay. The account was suspended there and then.

The eBay agent read all the emails. She was shocked at the level of rudeness of a 12 year old.

wow.. did that make you feel better?

Cant ever really know if they are 12 or not, people do anything for sympathy.

I do not usually get angry very easily.

He clearly stated that he was 12.
12 or not.....The rudeness went to far! To far that I just had to report it.

Yes. It did feel better that I took action against someone being rude and abusive.

I had some share of eBay users that have disputed about a sale. It always has been about a SALE...not swearing and saying such rude comments.
But when someone gets personal to such extend, then why take somebody nonsense.

I can sleep better knowing that I defended myself.

The eBay agent terminated the account. Must had some sort of history of such behaviour on eBay.

Awesome! I knew I was not the only person who started selling young. Granted when I started eBay was a bit more forgiving in many aspects. I grew into stealth and it made sense as I saw how eBay changed.

Ebay was very forgiving, and I also made A LOT of mistakes and lost A LOT of money...

I would have done the same thing....I have enough idiots to deal with on eBay without A. Either an adult claiming to be 12. B. A 12 years old period.......THANKS from at least me!

We all did. The learning curve was pretty large back then. I am thankful for that. It gets more difficult every year.

I will say many members on here keep me motivated to keep going with stealth. It gets harder and harder yet through the guide and this board so many have been able to adapt and continue.

Props to all the serious stealthers who continue a make things work against all odds.
