Default Jewellery Sales?

Hi I am just wondering if anyone sells high end jewellery and or/accessories. I know that they are high risk etc. But I am wondering if anyone has any tips for these sales. I am looking to expand to sell outside North America but am leery of risks. I have had so many amazing us and canadian sellers. It seems scary to go farther. Thanks for the help!

If the appraisal makes your listing more desirable then I would say yes but only if the cost isn't a lot.

A lot of my jewellery items are vintage. Like really old. So receipts aren't going to happen. I know its risky. I was just wondering if anyone here has had good luck selling such items. You guys are what I hope to be one day. Ive tried many different areas for selling but I have my area that I am good at. Time to stick with it.

If it is your own and you just have a few pieces it may get by, but if you have a large selection you will most likely get asked by eBay to provide receipts to continue selling , they want to make sure that the items were paid for and not stolen

I've been collecting for over 15 years. So they are mine. I have really detailed photos and my items are the rare ones, not the cheap plain silver items. All stamped etc. There are a few sellers who have over 3000 items per account. I have about 15 right now. I have been thinking about getting a 1stdibs account for my high end items.

Your going to want to start getting receipts, whenever you make a new purchase from whoever get receipts

I can't see selling Nice Jewelry like you are describing day after day and eBay/PayPal not asking to see receipts and for them to show how they were paid for.

You know what I mean, they don't want to be a fence for stolen merchandise, and Jewelry would be towards the top of that list

I'm not saying that they are, I'm sure you purchased everything but you need to see things from eBay/PAYPALS standpoint

Just go slow and spread over as many accounts as you can , make it look like your just selling a couple things

And anything you get new get receipts and use those items if u want to build a big account

I plan on primarily doing clothing but selling jewellery when I can. I get what you are all say though. I will be super careful. I only have one of each type. Not like 20 of one necklace. But I am going to keep it careful and not go nuts listing all at one time.

Completely agree with GB - I have sold some vintage stuff in the past...no overseas...or I charge them a LOT to insure, track, and cover. I won't be scammed. I have also pushed for non-PP payment where I am able
