Default Hello all from a new member...

So I'm here in South Carolina. I'm 46 years old and been in the technology business all my adult life as an entrepreneur. I've bought and sold almost everything imaginable online. I've owned and sold off two different data centers.

I've been on eBay and PayPal pretty much since their respective inception. I've bought and sold hundreds of items over the years from $1 to $3,000.

A couple of months ago I came across a great deal on a wholesale lot of iPhone 5's. Thinking this would be a quick turn-around on eBay I spent more money than I really had to buy them.

I spend a week after getting them making sure everything is just right on my end to sell and ship them as fast as I could print the shipping labels and now it's time. Time to list and sell.

Things go beautifully for about 12 minutes. I listed the items on buy it now, free shipping with a quantity "Over 10" available. I barely had time to go the bathroom before five orders rolled in. They were coming in at a rate that would have sold about one every minute.

WHOA THERE COWBOY! Is what I heard in my head when I suddenly get an email from eBay. My account is now terminated NOT suspended but terminated. After 15 years +/- of buying and selling and never a single incident they terminated my account. I spent hours on the phone trying to reason with them but it was like talking to a wall.

Now I find myself here. A place where it seems lots of people have the same kind of problem. At least I'm not alone I suppose. Now I'm learning a whole new way to sell.

Sorry that happened. Evidently electronics are high risk. I didn't know that until about a week ago either. Did you have receipts of where they were purchased? Ebay probably thought they were stolen or ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

Familiar story - sorry it happened to you.
It seems Ebay are out to get rid of all the sellers they considered small time.
Anyway - welcome to the forums. Hope you get back on your feet soon.

Not to sound like a smart-ass.....but I could have predicted that if someone told me the story, right up to getting kicked off.......that sort of thing is not uncommon.

BUT, you have landed where you needed to land...and you will be back up and running in no time ( but not selling iPhones) .......welcome to the island of eBay lepers! lol.

I could be wrong because I read it a while back, but I recall reading we sellers are only allowed to sell 1 apple product per week unless your a verified authorised dealer.

That many sales that quick causes a INSTANT flag with their bots which is who terminated your account (sadly). Apple products are a different ball game all togeather. Ebay takes selling them very very serious.
