Default Is A 50 dollar GIft card risky for an item in a newer account

I have a 50 dollar gift card I am not going to use is it risky to sell this on a new account probably 20 days old have sold 4 items so far with 3 feedback

IMO gift cards are high risk...an item that can easily be phaked in the eyes of eBay.

gift cards are high risk, especially for a new account. like pokerpro said, it can easily be sold with nothing on it.

you need to think along the lines of household items, old things laying around the house, etc

What about trading up on craigslist? I've done that. Offer the gift card in trade for something you can sell.

buy something low risk with the gift card and sell it instead

May not be the best price, but coinstar has a different kiosk that gives you a cash voucher for most gift cards.
Can also look here Gift Card Exchange - Buy, Sell, and Trade Gift Cards Online | Cardpool , never used it myself though.

I Don't believe the OP is trying to cash out the Gift Card, most likely is trying to sell it for feedback.
