I'll take that every time....Me....I don't care what the starting limit is, because done right, it get raised very quickly and you don't have to call in and beg because you got 0/0.
I mean, let's just say you got a 10K limit......are you really going to list 9K on a brand new account?......I hope the answer is no........

No, of course not. I'm just very used to getting 10/1k out the door.
Up until November I had never even seen a 5/500. Now I seem to be getting them on a fairly regular basis.

They do this around the holidays.
They should go back to the 10/1000 by next month (Crosses fingers)

Well, I have had very few stealth accounts that don't get to 100/5k within 90 days....some faster than others, but they all seem to get to at least that....so 90 days to me is just what 1 plan on till I can get rolling.......and in the big scheme of things, to me, that's no time at all......
Hell, I wouldn't care if it was 2/$200 as long as they didn't stick me with 0/0 and I had to roll the dice and call in! lol.

And every so often you still get a good one like a 5000/50,000 or a 1000/25000.
Nothing wrong with those

How about being thankful for still being able to sell? Not trying to be a "downer" but if they really wanted to they could eradicate stealth users. Be thankful for the opportunity to grow the account and make it a good one. Stop acting like a child.

5/500 accounts are the best to start with. They are easy/cheap to max out with low-risk non-profitable items to get the account aged/primed to sell your for-profit items. They generally get a raise to 20/3000 or 30/3000 in 30-60 days same as the 10/1000 accounts but with less work.

The idea of a 5000/50000 account is very tempting but...
You still have to treat it like a new account regardless.
Chances are when you have that high of a limit your under ebays radar more than say a account that sees natural increases from 5/500.
Remember we have NO idea what these bots are doing when they give us certian limits. All I know is something gets trigged for them to give a huge early limit. Personally I'd pass on a account that has the high of limit from the jump.

So are you guys noticing that instead of the Mc999 you get when you list your first item, instead they are just slapping new accounts with the 5/500 ? Is this what you guys are noticing?

Imagine, an account able to sell from the start with small limits.
And it's not good enough.

Well, got my first 5/500. Funny thing was yesterday, I got my first 1000/25000, lol, I'll just have to culture this account to something more profitable. Any of you guys know if your search results ranking are lower with 5/500 accounts? I know that I my search rankings were was all the way at the bottom with 10/500 accts, so much so that I had to abandon it.

In other words its how the account was created weather or not the results in search show in your favor or not.
I have some accounts with high limits showing very low in search results and some with lower limits showing on the first page. It has NOTHING to do with your limits, it has EVERYTHING to do with how you treat your account.
And part is simply just luck.
