Default Need advice with Paypal claim

I have a buyer that purchased an item from me and claimed the item was not functional. So in an effort to make the buyer happy I shipped another out right away without asking for the 1st back.

Now the buyer claims the second item never made it to his door. Although, tracking says "delivered to front door" via Fedex.

The buyer has opened a case saying "item not as described" and doesnt even mention the second item I sent to him. I am assuming the buyer is scamming me and the 1st item was probably just fine.

Paypal wants me to respond to the claim. I already know I will probably get screwed here knowing past Paypal cases always in favor of the buyer.

So how should I procede? I was going to upload both tracking #s to Paypal showing I sent a replacemant. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ive won alot of cases. Show eb tracking information for both. If anything ebay provides a service were the buyer needs to put tracking. and he has to ship 2 items back to you and tracking must show delivered. before they issue him a refund. If he doesnt do it you keep the money

This is a non-stealth account I forgot to add. I have over 30,000 transaction and 15 years on this account.

This was also a phone order using PP app / cc, NOT an Ebay transaction. I should have noted this in my 1st post.

It's easy, all you do is show tracking for the items in the claim showing they delivered to his door. Post the eBay and PayPal transaction #s as well, assuming they paid with PayPal. Hopefully you uploaded the tracking in eBay.

If he claims its not functioning, they need to ship it back and post the tracking. Then you have 3 days to issue the refund once you receive it. I get these occasionally but I refund and claim gets closed

Totally agree with aking. Upload tracking.
I use a courier and always paid the extra fee for a signature i cant rememember but think it was yankee or just_smile that said that the tracking without signature was enough and a delivery status of left at blah blah was enough to not have an INR on me.
There advice was invaluable to me as it has saved me money and im confident im covered.
How much were the items worth??
The reason i ask is coz the same forum members said that you do need a signature for sales over a.certain amount. £250 I think, but might be wrong..But this is from a UK perspective :-)

It's off topic but the amount now for signature is in fact $750
