Re: UK Mom Invoices 5yr Old Who Didn't Show to Party
people need to get a life, of course it is annoying and rude, you make a note of it and never invite that kid again. Ive actually done this, that kid will never be invited again, even if I know them for the next 20 years.
But kids get sick etc and cannot get there, it is polite to say you cannot go, however who will you get to go at short notice anyway? My risky strategy has been to invite 1 more than I have places for and the venue will squeeze in an extra place for them if they all turn up. I did this at the cinema last time, we did not see much of them film though, as I was constantly in the bathroom.
I have one friend - not to do with parties, but she will say yes to a day out, say a shopping trip and then you text her a couple of hours before and she does not answer, and that is when you know she will not be coming, still my friend but she is selfish and has the idea that if she does not answer it is better than replying and saying she cannot go, which would allow the other person to plan a different day for themself....
