Default Paypal Fund Hold Up in "AUTHORIZATION/PENDING" for Canceled Retail Purchase

It has been this way since yesterday. The retailer claims it was canceled and refunded but in my paypal it still shows "authorization" and "pending" as status on the payment to the purchase. It has been this way since I first made the payment. Usually refunds clear right away.

Should I call in or does this fall off on its own? I am disinclined to call Paypal triggering manual review although my stealth is 100% verified.

It will take a few days for the charges to cancel out and 'post' correctly. If the retailer says it was cancelled then just wait it out.

Normally these types of transactions that say pending authorization require the retailer to accept, approve or decline the payment in the RETAILERS paypal account.

When the payment is declined, cancelled or reversed it will change status in paypal.

I would give it a few days rather than call up PP.
