Paypal trouble. Being threatened! Should I take this seriously?
Hi everyone.
I've had major trouble with a recent transaction on ebay.
It was for a digital camera that I sold.
I dispatched it, but I never sent it with a tracking number. I should've done this I know, I'm stupid.
Anyway, the recipient never got his camera. Or so he says! I really don't know if he is lying or what.
After major arguments with him back and fourth, I didn't hear from him for a long time. I assumed he had gone away or that he had given up.
But then the other day he sent me some "threats". I don't know if he is just trying to scare me. Well it seems to have worked cos I am quite scared.
He seems to have got the police involved. He gave me a list of the things he had done: Quote:
* crime reference No; C*/*****/08-3
* you are looking at a case of fraud/ deception
* Paypal have deided in my favor
* e-bay have been updated and in communication
* the police are in the process of attaining your details from paypal & e-bay, they have also advised that numerous advances have been made in this field and the electronical trail is very good
* from the encryption data they can also attain the address from where the mail has been sent, be that work or home.
* all my communication has been passed on to the police
* my credit card company are also looking to bring a case against you for fraud

Is this all true? Or is he just trying to scare me?
