Lost etsy shop 2 year ago !

I just purchased the Ebay Stealth Book last night and will read it 20 times if I

have to in order to set a new shop up correctly. My items are very unique and

my competitors will flag me in a nano-second, so I am switching to selling

something else....I have several customers that use my items and make them

into their own creation, so I'm thinking I can do the same. My competitors

knocked me off of both Etsy and Ebay, so I am a bit worried they will find me

again.

The clue here to what your shop was selling is in your name?

No...not even close. Not sure if I can share what I was selling, but not many

of us can make them, and I know my largest competitor was the one who

knocked me out.

You can get back on, but fighting competitors may still cause problems.

I recommend spreading to other marketplaces if Et.sy is the only outlet you have. That way you will have backups and sales coming in from elsewhere.

Thank you for your knowledge. I do have another site but it only brings in about

10% of what I sold on ET. My items are custom and ET is by far the best

venue I've ever seen, but the malicious feed-backs killed me. I guess if I go

stealth....it must be safer. I'm learning that selling on the internet is a

cut-throat business, and I am not looking forward to being the center of

another witch-hunt.

Another place for handmade that will post items to Google Shopping for $20/month is ArtFire. There are many handmade places online, but you have to rely on their horrible marketing tactics if they are not submitting to search engines and in my experience, Google is the only one that matters. I get some from Yahoo and Bing, but it is very rare. Some places also have a strong community like Et.sy and that can help.

I know Et.sy is huge and will put you on the first pages of Google Shopping. I've had to modify my listings there as well because they aren't fond of what I sell, but in the beginning, it was the best sales I've ever seen outside of EB and AZ. Don't give up though. They can be manipulated easily. Competitors are the harder part to handle, but you will simply have to learn to adapt because as you are learning, NONE of these marketplaces play fair...NONE.
