Once a bid is placed, you can not do much other than end a listing if there is at least 12 hours left.
Take the plung and test a sale. If your items are popular and in demand, it will do well on auctions. If they are items that dont have multiple people wanting at all times, then BIN is a better option.
Ending time is important. Vast majority of bids are within the last hour of an auction. So you want to pick a time that people are online.
My single items that are non "comodity" and I only have a few of, I always have the ending times on Sunday NIGHT around 8:30-10PM, Monday and Thursday same PM time.
Items that sell every single day and I have many of, I have ending times week days 10am, 12 noon-3pm while people are online at work and then 7pm-midnight every day EXCEPT Friday and Saturday evenings because people tend to be out and about and not online.
Shrill bidding is never a good idea. Great way to get accounts linked and/or banned.
