Default Paypal tried to pull my selling fees from my VBA?

Just got a message from Paypal saying they attempted to withdraw from my VBA for my monthly Ebay fees. Not sure why as I have enough in my PP account to pay the fees? Every month they have pulled from my PP balance except today?

They sent me an email saying they will remove this bank account (VBA). I do have a good (real) bank account also attached to this account that I make withdraws to weekly. I am worried they will see my name and real info if they pull from my other bank on file!

-Why would they try and pull from the bank account if I have funds in my PP account?

-Will they see my real name if they pull from my real bank account?

-Why did this happen and what can I do?

A bit worried at this point as this is a very stealth account!

I've never known them to do this. If you don't have enough money for eBay fees in your PayPal account, they WILL usually try to take the entire amount from your bank account. Like if you have $150 in PayPal and your eBay fees are $200, they would try to take $200 from your bank. At least that is how it used to work. I usually pay my fees on all my accounts within a couple of days of receiving the invoice. That way, I can control the process. I don't like leaving any more money in my PayPal accounts than I absolutely have to. I get the invoice and usually in a day or two I have enough in sales to cover them and I pay it. That way I don't have to remember to keep money in there for the 30th, or whatever day.

Yes, I have well more than enough to cover the fees in my PP account funds so I am confused why this would happen. Ebay has not tried to pull any funds again from my PP account or my other real account today. I would think that they would try another source right away if they where not able to get funds from the one bank account (VBA)? Should I dare call in to Ebay or should I see what happens?

Go to my preapproved payments and edit funding source in the billing agreement with ebay.

To go on with what miketyson said, you can pay in advance with a VCC on eb for fees

PayPal is known to do shady things like this just there sneaky way on getting information, so you need to have total control over payments

Never allow them to pull automatically , it's ok to have paypal set as your payment source but always make a one time payment no less than 5 days from your payment date, i usually make a one time payment 5-7 days prior

Too close , than paypal will accept your one time payment and still go and take the payment, so try and pay a week ahead

And like miketyson mentioned , and this is something I do with every account when I make my account , is go to your profile settings and take your bank account off your pre approved funding source

I only have my CC as a funding source and no matter what I never had PayPal dip into a Bank account after I took it off

I always do as above too. Take bank from pre approved funding sources, leave only credit card. My VCC are all deleted from entropay so it would fail too so I pay each month from one time payments from PayPal balance

Has anyone lost accounts because of Paypal being sneaky? Do I need to worry about this account?

I am wondering what triggered Paypal to do this? I have been doing a lot of outside Ebay transactions (my phone number is listed in my ads) but I wouldn't think this would matter?

Good advice on paying Ebay fees in advance. I think I will do this from now!

many people pay fees via automatic bank withdraws without ever having ill results

including myself

the account surely has flags from that oopsie but will cool off with very little time.
