First shipping label adds funds from bank acct.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for getting me back up and running.

Every time I open a new PayPal account and print my first shipping label through eBay it automatically tries to add funds from my bank account to pay for it. From my reading, then they can see my name. I tried changing my primary payment method to the VCC on the account but it still draws from the bank account.

Has anyone else had this problem?

1. that means not enough funds available in your pp to fund the label.
2. is it giving you the option to pay for the label later once funds in pp available. if so do that... it should if printing threw pp

I never print a shipping label on the first few sales for this reason. I do it the old fashioned way. Take it to the post office get a tracking# and enter t manually.

I found that you must print the label thru paypal.com and that option will to pay later will pop up, then after the first label the option for label should be on eBay.com

When I print my first label, I always get an error saying there is a problem with my funding source. This is because I am, for the first time, using PP for my payment method so they try to take it out automatically and it declines because it is not in there. So I go back to the ebay ship page and when I try again it then gives me the opinion to pay now or pay later. I always pay later until my funds are becoming available instantly.

I also keep stamps.com acct for when I have issues that I cannot fix quick enough. It has been a life saver a few times for me. Always nice to have a back up. Usually when EB labels are not working then neither is PP labels.
