Personally I use TDAmeritrade. If you are looking based on price I think Sharebuilder is one of the more well known lower per transaction fees. Scott trade is pretty close as well. All the other stuff depends on services. Personally I pick my own stocks and all that. I like TDAmeritrade. If I was starting over I would probably go with Sharebuilder especially if you do lots of trades. Just a little less cost. Assuming you are picking your own stocks, etfs, etc.

If you dont plan on trading often, Scottrade is also good with low fees

I love Scottrade ELITE because i'm able to execute trades almost immediately every single time.

Why do you like TDAmeritrade and Sharebuilder more mate?

How much does it save you exactly? Is that the only reason is because of savings?

TD Ameritrade can be expensive per trade ($10 I believe) but their website is easy to use and I like the app for on the go trading.

I use TradeKing, low fees ~$5 each trade and no minimum balance required.
