Year 2003 PayPal Account Questions
Does anyone know the security differences between an old PayPal account and a new one? Also, what's the best method to go about beginning to use a PayPal account that you know has a high risk of being linked to a limited PayPal account? If the PayPal account was recently reinstated after 4.5 years of inactivity due to an appeal where a business credit check was needed (indicating clearance to do high-volume sales for the account), would the account be immune to limitation for random BS reasons (other than actual fraudulent activity)? Is there even such thing as PayPal account / ebay account immunity?
I also have a plan B (which should maybe be plan A) and I'd like to know what some of you veterans think. Knowing that my name is cleared on PayPal but that there may be linkage to an overdue PayPal account (though this link was overturned in an appeal), do you think I'd be better to open another PayPal account with my name, SSN and no other matching information? Do you think that if I did that, my currently open, appealed Business account would serve as enough of a buffer between my new account activity and the possible problematic link in such a way that I would be able to see a limitation coming on my new account so that I don't end up with frozen money?
I just experimented with the appealed account by removing a junk shipping address, so hopefully we'll see if the account is teetering on the edge of a cliff or on solid ground. I'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks. -Nick
