Haven't seen an update since 2012
Which banks do you recommend to withdraw from pp (mismatch names). Those that give the option to open checking online have a higher priority. BofA and chase no please!

Chase wasn't good for me. They closed all my accounts because of mismatched names.

Bofa closed mine and didn't give an explain. I have to show up to a branch to pick up $ which seems like a poor decision

Regarding the last 2 posts, that is a bummer to hear. I would say hands down without one single problem over the years BofA and Chase have not given me one problem, in any regard.

TD works well.
Harris Bank works well for online creation as well but you do need funds in the original account to open others

There are rare cases of almost every bank not liking mismatched names. BOA and Chase have been used for many years, however if you have had a bad experience then try another. Like stated above, open a business account or try one of the banks that have been listed to work in the stealth guide. If you start to see multiple threads of a certain bank not accepting mismatched names anymore then it would be time to raise an alarm. I personally have been using BOA with no problems for 3 years.

Any updates? Im looking to make around 30 accounts, so in-person account creation is a bad idea. Does BoA mind having tons of accounts? Im staying away from chase cause thats what I use for my real banking, and Id hate to screw my personal finances. I actually dont need to withdraw, just verify, and although I heard ally is good for verify just not withdrawal, it makes me nervous to use "blacklist" banks at all. Im trying to be as solid as I can. small cost per account is no biggie. Also, am I correct that when you say "mismatched names" in this thread you mean nicknames? I thought blatantly ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names were a no-no.

You arent going to be opening 30 accounts at ONE bank. Period. Doesnt matter if that bank accepts mismatched names or not, they WILL shut down your accounts, especially if you dont have an established history with them.

Yeah, thats kind of what I was afraid of. so lets just say 5 is the max, Im sure it varies from bank to bank, but that means I need 6 banks. WF, BOA, now Im scraping the bottom. So I guess Im going to have to use ally. Does anyone know for sure that if you are only using them to verify the account its OK? Anyone have good alternatives?

I myself use the medium to smaller banks. They tend to not fuss over the mismatched thing and are just happy to have your business.
Any regional bank works well I find.

great, thanks slokor. BTW, I know they sell VBAs here, is that mostly a "second best" solution for foreigners who need a US bank, or is it considered just as good as a real bank? again, Im not looking to withdraw to the bank, i just want as rock solid a validation as I can.

I use VBAs for all my accounts and theyre just as good as the real thing.
Dont waste a bank account on any paypal account before you know for a fact the account is working well. No point in 'burning' you own account before you actually need to add it.
And if you never need or intend to add your own bank account then youre good to go.

VBA is great for anyone who wants to verify an account.
We have more than 7000 banks in the USA. MOST work fine for all stealth purpouses. Small banks and credit unions are best IMO. Never once had an issue with a small bank.
Seeing as we have 7000+ banks to choose from, I would stay away from any bank that is know for any issues at all such as Ally and TD is becoming more and more problematic in the USA for two examples.

managing 30 vbas sounds way less hassle than setting up 30 real accounts. So, let me see if I got it right.
If you ONLY need an account for verification, VBA is fine indefinitely. no reason to ever switch it to a real bank.
How about vcc? I assumed they were second to visa gift cards, which are pretty easy for me to get. I see some vccs advertised that you can withdraw to, some dont say, and I see "AVS" cards. Are they all pretty much the same from the market here? ie all will verify your address, all can use any name/address you need, etc. an6y advantage of vcc over gift card or visa versa?

In the USA, we can not withdraw to any credit card or VCC.
Personal preference.
Some people are reporting more and more issues with entropy and similar but half of that is user error and also abuse.
