Default Banned ASIN- Should I sell under new listing ? Experts ONLY

About a month ago, I received "phake" feedback. Amazon banned ASIN and kicked all seller's off. I received a notification for phake item.

Item is not phake !

1. I removed all stock and deleted listing 2 weeks ago. Our main account is strong selling this one item, over 1000+. Should I just post under new pre existing asin (this asin only has six sellers)? How does amazon know that it is same item(different asin/sku) ?

2. I do not want to sell on stealth yet, because it is not strong enough yet. I can risk it getting banned and lose money. (original acct is stronger). Item is high risk.

I need your feedback. Thanks!

If you re-list the same item that Amazon removed, even under a different ASIN, then you stand a VERY GOOD CHANCE of losing the account once they find out.

How does amazon know that it is the same exact item ? and not simply a variation of the item ? different upc/different asin (theoretically making it totally different item)

They wouldn't know for a FACT. But they don't have to. They can see in their records what they sent you the notice for and see a new listing under a different ASIN for a similar item. That would be enough for them.

Also, if they get a customer complaint that the item does not EXACTLY match the ASIN, that will also cause you problems. Some items, because of the whole counterfeit issue, are just difficult to sell on Amazon - even if you have totally legitimate items.

I know that different UPC differentiates the item and establishes that they are not the same. They didn't ban me from selling a "similar"item, but this specific item with that specific UPC. It makes it very tricky.

Also, I am not worried about getting an EXACTLY match the asin claim because the listing are so similar.

I have a large amount of stock left in this item, and I have to sell it somehow. I feel that I would have a better chance with the old account(maybe fba ?), and from there on (after we've sold remaining stock), list on the stealth account for this item moving forward.

My advice, set up a stealth account, list it as you did before with the old ASIN, if the ASIN is blocked you will not be allowed to create a listing. If not use the other ASIN and send the items FBA. You should be fine.

I tried your method ("use the other ASIN and send the items FBA") on a previous stealth account. Sold three units before account was banned for "failing seller review "

Just sent you a PM. Amazon rarely close accounts selling FBA unless it suspects the goods are counterfeit. Maybe you price is to cheap. Was the account suspended or deleted. If suspended then they only suspect your are selling counterfeit. Start over and price the goods higher for 2 or 3 weeks. If deleted then they have proof from the rights holder that its counterfeit.

I tried the method and the account was suspended. Should I wait after the account has aged 14 days ?

Just be very careful on your pricing, at least till the account ages and get solid feedback.

If your selling FBA you don't need to be the cheapest, you just need to have the price to get the buy box. I have stock selling at $15 and over with FBA with the buy box and merchant fulfilled merchants selling at $5 and I can hundreds a day.

Of course, I understand that. My question is will this bring too much attention to the stealth account if I'm the lowest? ( I won't be competing with amazon on this listing). You're suggesting I price only low enough to gain buy box status ?

I would say be very careful. There is obviously someone watching the listing very closely.
