Exclamation What's with the 0 Allowance ??

As the title says really...lol

I would occasionally get 0 allowance with a new account but I've been getting a few more recently. but over the last few days the last 9 ive tried to make have come back with a 0 allowance.

Has something changed i don't know about as I've not changed anything in the way i set them up.

I have noticed that there's an option to pay the fees by credit/debit card instead of paypal.

Could that make a difference?

Are you adding a bank account to the PayPal linked to the accounts?

Thanks for the replies

Yes they have verified PayPal accounts added to them.

I've been doing this a long time now and thought I had a good system going, but this one has got me thinking...lol

So just to go over your method

You make the eBay then make the PayPal with the same info. Add a bank account to the PayPal in order to verify it and then turn the eBay into a sellers account and you are getting 0/0 limits?

Thinking about it.....

I've even got a 650 allowance without verifying the PayPal account and just adding a entropay card.

Something must have changed.

If your paypal is verified you can click on " request higher selling limit" and it will divert to paypal and you will get an auto increase to 25/£750

Adding a Vcc does not verify your paypal account. Only a bank account does.

Are you in the UK?
When I request a higher limit it just asks me to convert to a business account, something I avoid these days

Sure, that is possible sometimes. Harder and hard though these days

Now a PayPal really need to be verified (which can only be done with a bank account)

My method is slightly different to yours.

I start with the PayPal account then open the eBay account then ply around on the eBay account by searching for things...etc then I convert it to a seller account and accept the PayPal billing agreement.

This has worked out ok up until recently.

I think I first started noticing the odd 0 allowance popping up about the time eBay and PayPal parted ways (probably nothing to do with it).

I'm sure I'll figure out what's causing it, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't looking for something that everyone already knew about...lol

Sure that works as well

At what stage are you adding the bank account to the PayPal?

Ideally, create the Ebay, sign up via the eBay page to autofill all the info into Paypal.

Add a VCC, then add the bank account and verify.

Go back to eBay and create the seller account.

You are right, you can get 10/650 without verifying the Paypal but it's a higher chance of getting 0/0 and in my opinion isn't worth it.

10 stealths then you need 10 bank accounts. Very easy in the UK to get 10 bank accounts.

When I say there is no way around it it is because there is no way around it...

UK Account sellers add bank accounts just like everyone else.

You cannot use the same bank account.

1 PayPal 1 New Bank account. Really that simple

Im sure now for uk eBay selling accounts haveing 0/0 alliwance is standard as you now need to get
First 10 buying feedback first before you can sell on eBay uk but eBay only let's you bid on 2 items at a time
Until you paid for them and I would guest they will then let you bid on more items after your first few feedback
This is probably because people are abuseing the stealth system and spoiling it for everyone else .
