Default Does ebay send emails to trap you??

sometimes i get emails from buyers asking about brand names and authenticity etc. Sometimes I thing they are trying to set me up or it may be other sellers trying to get something over on me so they can pull my listings.

this particular acct has 70+ 100% feedback. Buyers LOVE me!

any thoughts on this?

My guess is they could have purchased from other ebayers before and got hosed on the item they won and got a ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Probably just want to make sure it does not happen again.

Wow thats definitely something to watch out for. I always word my answers carefully or not reply to some that I feel are risky.

Ive had the same buyers ask my other account a question due to my previous account. So if I get any msgs from people who have complained or want 100% I just delete their message and block the ID if I have to.

If you know you are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗, its best not to reply, and if you do, dont say anything that gives you away. 9 out of 10 times, the ones that msg you dont even bid or buy your items. So you can just ignore them.

i wouldnt say 9 times outta 10 as many of my buyers can ask a million questions about my items. I do the same to play it safe

I do the same thing....
If they ask a leading question they they are blocked...
I know for a FACT that NorthFace has an account that they buy NorthFace items with.
The name they use is just a random name and not a dead give away.
But I really can not find it right now.
If I come across the name I will post it here.

Good idea. I wouldnt say 9 out of 10 dont bid either. In fact, out of all my messages. I get some to buy multiple items from me with paypal invoicing, leaving ebay fees behind! Its all in the wording.

I agree you get that feeling. I also had people ask me to send pictures because my pictures on ebay aren't showing up for them. I never send them I make up the excuse that once my pictures hit ebay they are deleted from my computer. Maybe I'm paranoid but I take no chances with my new accounts. If pictures are sent to them through email can they tag them somehow? I always re-take my pictures if it was something listed at the time of suspension changing backrounds and lighting etc. Am I overly paranoid or is it possible? Either way I will never send pics in email to anyone.
