Any strategies on getting a coastal FBA delivery site?
I'm trying to ship directly from China to FBA, and when I input my Chinese "from" address, it ended up telling me to ship to Reno and Philadelphia. The 4 hour ground shipment from Oakland to Reno would cost more than the cargo shipment from China to Oakland.
Any tips on what I should put in the "from" address so I can get an Oakland or Los Angeles fulfillment center to ship to?

It's not about that, from what I understand. There are tricks to send the shipment to just one fba center, but then they will delay your inventory a week while they manually send parts of it to other centers themselves, and charge you a fee for that.

If you are using an agent in the US, print shipping labels from UPS via seller central, put the ship from your agents US address, send these labels to your shipper. This way you get a very heavy discount on domestic shipping rate. Then you have to send the goods from China to LAX.

Just check amazon rates, you will be surprised. Also you select to send your goods to one FBA centre. Your shipping agent should be able send the goods to the final destination rather than clearing the goods in SFO.
