Default Forming an LLC

I am forming an LLC today and need some advice. I am a resident of Texas which charges a 300$ one time fee. Would it be a better option to form in another state like Arizona in which the filing fee is lower?

Also would you advice for using a registered agent to protect my personal information or can I do it myself.

I would like to hear the opinion of people with succesfull stealth accounts

One thing to keep in mind about registering an LLC in a state other than the state in which you live is, in most states, they will require that you have a registered agent located in that state.

Many companies exist to provide the services of a registered agent, but they all charge a yearly fee for their services. Basically, the registered agent is someone (or a company) who can receive official correspondence for your LLC and also be served with legal process in the event you have any legal issues. The registered agent accepts the correspondence and/or legal papers and then forwards them to you.

I have found that most services costs between $100 - $250 per year.

If you are going to form an LLC in another state, you might want to check out Wyoming or Nevada, as they have very favorable laws unique to each state regarding privacy and other matters.

If I register in Texas without a registered agent would Amazon be able to lookup my name and link it with my suspended account

No. An LLC or Corp or any entity other than a sole proprietor ends at the EIN.

I agree with yankee, although Amazon COULD look it up if they wanted to. But I have never heard of them doing this. Because all they could see is a name anyway. And there could be more than ONE person with your name. So, if they did this, they would end up canceling many accounts that do not need to be canceled.

I already opened an LLC in Delaware with an agent. I need to get the EIN and bank acc now. My question is regarding the address to put in both. What is the best way to deal with that? Please help.

You'll need a bank account/address in Delaware if you're trying to show on paper that you live/operate out of Delaware.

Depending on what state you're in, most of the time its a lot easier to just register an LLC in whatever state you're in.

That is what your agent is for. They typically supply a physical address.

When you apply for your LLC do you use your business address as the same address as the registered agent? I know that's not the purpose of the registered agent to supply you with a business address, but does that work without any problems?

Why would you use the address of your agent?

Be careful about forming a LLC out of state if you want to open a business bank account since, some banks will not accept a out of state registered agent. I would ask the bank that you want to open a business account with if they accept out of state agents.

The cool thing is that with miss matched name deposits you can wothdraw to whatever bank you want.
But if you want to keep all funds in that company or worried about 1099K then yes you have to take this into consideration.
