No 21 day hold & still under 25/$250

I just got a payment UNDER the 25/$250 without a hold.



I've never had an account when its still under the 25 transactions and $250 not get a hold so its either

• pure luck
• aged account over 7 months with new activity of 2 sales back to back
• ebays split means new policy leeway's?

Opinions?

This account is about 7-8 months aged with over 50 sales in the first 2 months and then 0 activity for 5 months ...

and now I just listed about 40 items with 2 sales in the first 2 days of listings, this is the third with no hold.

I say 25/$250 together because thats the policy, I obviously already exceeded the transactions amount needed.

Thanks for updating the post with the new info- that sometimes takes some effort, but gives us a more accurate picture of what happens and can happen... appreciated!

Oh well... I'm nearly at the $250 amount anyways, holds will get lifted by tomorrow.

There maybe truth to this no hold thing. I just got a new account that received less than $100 and did not get any pending or holds... WEIRD.

This is a newer account I started listing on. All my other accounts have no holds so I guess I got a little to excited but it being right after the split my hopes were since I aged it correctly there would be no holds but oh well.

I do think as the companies grow apart in the future there won't be the same hold structure. Always thought the 21 day hold is a PAYPAL thing but its really eBay telling paypal keep the money held until the seller graduates from the 90 days, 25 transactions, $250 in sales.

If the companies do grow apart which I assume they will, it would only make sense for paypal to decide who gets their money held compared to eBay "suggesting it".
