Created a new stealth account and filled in cake for everything that I could, and operated via a user account running a VPN.
Been running for 50 days and all going fine, until today, when I added a new bank account, with a bank that I never ever used before for any previous accounts, using first name initial and last name. After 2.5 hours of adding my bank info, bam, got the email to say my seller account has been linked to previously closed account blah blah.
What gives?! I had this happen before (3-4 hours after adding new bank account, - which was also a different bank, and account gets linked) and I thought it was just bad luck last time due to my VPN (which I switched this time already)!
US marketplace. TD USA bank - chequing account. Credit card is a totally legit card of a relative living half the country away. Help?!

With a VPN (which VPN service provider?) <-- that could be a red flag
TD traditionally does not like mismatch names but that should't get you linked.
Similar items? Maybe account creation was flawed?
It could be a number of factors.

I had some weird stuff this past week also but only on the ebay side of things. Lost a whole group of accounts all created the same way about the same time last fall. All my other accounts are fine.
It seems that there may be linking by how accounts are created and possibly ship from zip code when printing off ebay.
It is to early for me to tell exactly what happened.

Strange situation.
Youre obviously getting linked in some way.
Id say the VPN is a possible factor since VPNs can leak your real IP address via WebRTC - depending on the browser youre using.

Not all of my accounts were on a VPN. Some of them I have never even used but were created at the same general time in the same way.

Yes - some browsers are worse than others. Firefox tends to leak that info whereas Explorer does not. Strange but true.

The bank account linking has happened to me. Added a bank and within 2 hours account suspended. This was a brand new BOA saving's account. The reason still is a mystery to me as I never had an account closed for linking. Browser was Safari.

It could be a number of factors. | Used Vyper, as well as private internet acc.
Had 1 to 2 ratio of old/new items. Though from what i read on here, some experienced stealth users seem to go fine without padding in new items, at least according to their posts.
Account was using new corp names, cell numbers, cc's, addresses, passwords were diff etc. But again, been running close to 2 month all safe, until the bank addition.
If it really is a VPN thing, then hypothetically, no one is safe to run a VPN as you're bound to get a recycled/blacklisted IP, eventually. But its too much of a coincidence that this has happened right after adding bank info. About to go crazy...
Browser was a mix ofr opera, firefox and IE btw.

Then that Firefox might have been leaking your info.
You can test your connection here: whoer.net/extended
Thatll show you if your true IP address is showing via WebRTC.
Question - what bank were you using? cause some banks are more problematic than others.

Never mind - Just noticed you added that info in your original post.

I added a bank account to one of my other stealths 3 weeks ago, with pretty much the same setup, as the account that got closed today, and that one has been fine (despite for the fact that the bank closed the personal account because they "found out" that I was using it for "business" purposes, and not personal - which is against their policy...anyone have any experiences with that by the way (this was for RBC US Bank)? Amz still made the deposit 3 days after the date of the bank notice though. Amz account is not impacted at all, other than needing to add another new bank account...)
I have yet to try to add a bank account to any of my accounts created via VPS.
Perhaps VPS is the only secure answer, at least from a IP side of things?

Is Vyper a free service which potentially would be used by many?

Use VPS, don't get linked. All these VPN cause links sometimes.

Oh ok - might be worth doing VPS or dongle or cellphone tethering rather

Static IP is obviously the safest.
But amazon will not suspend you on IP alone. Other factors come into it.

Do you guys mostly use personal bank accounts, and not business - asking for those with 20k+ sales monthly being transferred in. Do banks never hassle you for flag your account for needing to switch to a Business account given such constantly large deposits?

Business accounts are always better. TD personal accounts suck and don't like mismatched names oftentimes. TD business will allow all sorts of things not capable on personal.
Im speaking for USA and unsure of Canada.

Could it be the stealth addresses you guys are using are blocked? I always thought if I pick some random address I take the risk that someone else may have used it as well and had a previously suspended account. It could be you used the suspended stealth address, amazon already flagged it for review, and then they wait for you to add the account and then close it so they have more information on you to keep you out. Not sure if this is true, but just a thought.

| What does a business account do that a personal account doesn't?
I've read online and some also recommend that businesses use personal credit cards (not mixing their personal purchases and keeping it all strictly business purchases). But... businesses should stay away from personal checking accounts? Is that the case,, or is it just for this particular bank. I mean can't you have a personal checking account with a "Doing Business As (fictitioaus name)" that is filed with your personal account? Or can you not have DBAs with personal accounts,, does anyone know?
