Default Adding vanilla MC/VISA as prepaid, debit or credit card?

I noticed that paypal has three options for registering the card: Adding a debit card, credit card and a prepaid card. Which is the best/safest option to add it as? I'm unsure if paypal can tell it's a prepaid card just by looking at the numbers, since I presume the bank issuing it also issues regular debit cards(For regular bank customers) and possibly credit cards.

(If that's the case, then "credit card" is probably not a good choice as I'm guessing paypal could quickly tell just knowing that the bank doesn't issue credit cards.)

Also, where do you guys get vanilla visas? I didn't notice them the last time I was at wally world, but they had the MCs.

Added the card as prepaid, no problems. I also noticed they had vanilla visas at 7-11's, zip trips and office depot.

I usually add it as a debit card. No need to tell paypal it is a prepaid (although they can figure it out from the BIN).

I usually add them as debit cards since its the default option available. But it doesn't matter what you select

I thought that was the case. It didn't seem like the interface changed one iota between the options, suggesting the values get processed all the same way. I'd have to look at the code to confirm.
