You need to have that original phone number that you registered active. Adding any other phones will just result in the error you encountered.
Isnt there any way around this? I mean, sometimes people change numbers. WTH do you do?I got locked out of one account a few days ago and along with the phone verification it gave me an option to confirm my CC number. Im not sure if is a glitch or something new they are trying out, but since then, I have not been able to replicate it.
Never works. I do sometimes, and they either cant figure it out, manage to bypass it to continue with the transaction,but then it comes right back the next time or they say wait 72 hours. Either way, never works.
Work around is build some cookies and wait. Login click around just don't do any transactions. Be better if you could keep same ip. Took about 60 days for them not to say new number was not in my name error.

Not that it happens too often since I maintain all the phone numbers alive on my accounts. Easy enough to do.

Paypal used to let people confirm with cc and bank account number, but I guess they figured it was too easy and made it all phone verification to make it harder.
I am call but paypal support ask try used real phone, i say it real mobile Verizon, but same error. Account limited and i want withdraw my funds
