I followed everything on the forums exactly. Unfortunately a home computer got mistakenly logged into under an old windows user account which had cookies to the old suspended account. I didn't realize it was under an old windows user account until after I already logged into ebay. Will ebay match up this one login and link it. Everything else is rock solid. It was only logged in for 2-4 seconds before powering off the computer and realizing the error when seeing unfamiliar desktop icons in the background.
Thanks

Just listed a new item without problems. Is this all the info they need to link an account or do they need multiple things to be sure. Cookies and same pics. Same description and cookies.
Thanks for the fast response.
Also, how long after this do they typicaly link an account. After listing an item, or is it time(1.2.3days)?
What a way to close out the year. Only time will tell. Hopefully the cookie didn't track or that alone won't give them reason enough to link the account. The account is completly different in all aspects.
Can you contest the linking of the account? Say you purchased the computer used in a trading post and it had this cookie loaded on it. It has nothing to do with the new account holder. Or, what if you had friends over at a party and one was showing something online with their laptop. You quickly borrowed it to check an auction you were bidding on and their cookie got you in trouble. The laptop used the new users wireless IP.
Will they buy an excuse like that or not? If nothing else points to a link, how can they be so sure.
The cookie under the old windows user was used with a suspended account and a new account. It was only used for a few seconds and just logged in though, no browsing at all.
