Default Is it smart to report yourself to eBay to save $?

Two of my listing nobody is bidding on it. Its been 5 days already, I spent nearly $40 each on listing each one, total of $80. Is it smart to report myself, so eBay will take these auction down and reinburse my listing fee? Because they are listed in the wrong category anyways.

If you report yourself it gives a bad impression on your account. If these don't sell then you'll have the option to relist the products. If they sell then you won't have to pay the listing fees.

Hmm, I see. If my product don't sell on the 3rd item. Will eBay still credit me back listing fee?

Is it smart to report yourself to eBay to save $? Nope. Save your money for a therapist.

If you think they will get pulled before they end, it is worth a try. $40 a listing huh, sounds like a car or some really expensive stuff with all the ebay highlight options. If you know how to sign up for new ebay and paypal accounts, it would be cheaper to just run up the account and then open a new one. Feedback is not as important as it once was, because ebay has fooled buyers into thinking paypal and buying through them is secure.

About $6 is the max of an insertion fee. This is the only thing you get credited back for the relist credit. $40 a listing sounds like you did a bunch of featured stuff. I've heard for powersellers if they win an unpaid dispute that they get it all refunded, but that's about it. You'll have to contact eBay about it, though. If it does work that if a non pay bidder buys your items, you'll get all featured fees back then you switch to a different ISP with all data on your computer cleared, and then bid on them with a throwaway account you just made, preferably dialing long distance so you can make it as a person living across the country. But don't do this too often.

Its your account...do what you want.

I personally don't think $80. is worth going through all that.

The easiest way to get them removed is to put something un-true in the title. Wrong category listings very seldom get removed.

If you do succeed in getting the listings removed, your account will take on 2 warnings and it usually takes 3 to get the account suspended.

I heard eBay used to keep the store listings always the same listing number and later stopped doing that. It's because if eBay suspended one of them, then they'd credit people for years and years of stuff, tens of thousands of dollars.
