Competitors outbids your buyers with stolen password
Hi anyone else have this problem?
I had a high bidder contact me today telling me that he has not used his account in weeks and some one else has stolen his password and placed the bid.
I figured this has been done by a competitor in order to outbid the legitimate buyer that wanted my item, and this way I lose the sale.
anyone else having a problem like this cause I wish we can trace these scum bags and give them what they deserve

why go through the trouble of stealing someone else's account when you can just make up an account and go from there??

you do have a point there yaw, maybe someone from his family used it or maybe he did himself and just wanted to retract his bid
either way i hope this is the case because I am sick and tired of chasing scum bag competitors
I think I can shed some light on it. I once had a person win my items. Then a day later eBay deleted the sold items, nearly screwing up all my records, claiming that someone had hijacked the buyer's account. Every since then someone had been spamming my emailbox hourly with phishing emails. So I think they do that to harvest emails for phishing.
But then if you don't get phishing emails as a result, then most likely the buyer is being a liar.
