Hi, i opened a new ebay/paypal account and listed my real name ( the name that appears on my new bank card ).
I had an old ebay/ paypal account with another bank card but the with same name as my new account. There are no other details for ebay to link me to that old account apart from the same names on the two different paypal / ebay accounts. Can ebay link them ?
I ask because people with the same names e.g 'john smith' must be registering quite often ! So it would seem crazy for ebay to just go suspending accounts only on that basis, would'nt it?

you could have put a different name, just as long as the billing address was similar

I thought i had to put the same name because when you register with ebay / paypal then go to register a bank account the name that you have registered automatically comes up for bank account name, i thought if i registered a different name to the name on my bank card the card transaction would not go through! is that correct?
Can ebay track you through name on card?
