Default PayPal wants my SSN

I guess I am reaching my limit.

If I am only allowed 200 sales transaction to PayPal and I reach that, will I be able to go over? What happens? My paypal won't allow buyers to buy my products on ebay? I can't do anything until I give them my SSN? Do I wait until next year to use it again if I choose not to give them my SSN?

Can I still send gift or pay as service and transfer money to my bank?

You can use an EIN for stealth accounts to get around this

No....

You need to use your real info.

No reason to not use real info

I thought the reason not to use SSN was so that you could use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info.

This isn't "identity theft" forum, wrong forum!

Using none-legit info to open an EIN is against the law!

For illegal advice I'm sure there are other forums out there.

You can also rotate sales through multiple accounts to stay below the sales/projected sales limits...

So when I reach 200 sales transaction, I won't be able to accept anymore sales until next year, correct?

or is it 200 sales transaction overall until I give them an EIN or SSN?

To piggyback off of this if one applies for an EIN number, and then applies that EIN number to a paypal, that eventually gets shut down for whatever reason... how can the EIN number be reused without providing stealth information?

Thanks,

You cannot reuse an EIN that has already been attached to an account.
Youll need to get a new one.

It can not.

You need new info.

When I go to register for the EIN, is there a specific type I need to get? I once got a 'sole proprietorship' EIN, but have concerns that this is not the type I want from reading the forums. Can anyone please provide guidance on if I need a specific type of EIN?

Thanks!

The IRS only allows one EIN per entity. You are one entity so you can only have one as a sole-proprietor. When paypal verifies this with IRS it must match your actual name, not your DBA. So if you have ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name for stealth that you are using as a DBA it will come back no match.

The way to get around this is to form an LLC. LLC creates an entity, thus can have its own EIN, and that EIN will match up as your DBA name in your stealth, as it is the name of your LLC, not your real name.

This is the logic I have gotten from all the reading from other posts and my personal research.

Likely so but the SSN is not shared out openly

googlelovesme,

I have question about your analysis. I am only looking to have one alternate account after my original was suspended. I'm not looking to run multiple stealth accounts. Therefore, I made my new accounts with my real name. I had previously given PP my SSN for my old account, so that is why I was hoping to use an EIN if they request my personal info. It seems that it would be okay if they get my name, as they already have my name and haven't linked me. However, if PP can view my SSN, as the entity that the sole-proprietor EIN belongs to, then they would certainly link me to my old accounts.

So, I understand that the LLC is ideal as it is an entity separate from myself, which would have never been banned from Paypal as the entity which is myself has. That being said, it seems from my reading that one's name is pretty low on the list of things that get you linked.

Any thoughts?
