Default eBayer Smurfing on 0 feedback account..

I have a few 0 feedback eBayers, (obviously they are not new). Message me on eBay, telling me whats wrong with my listing and they are reporting me to eBay after they purchase the item. Most likely they are going to leave me a negative feedback. I respond back saying do they want a refund? And they never do. What is up with this.

thats what the block bidder button is for.

Also set up your bidder restrictions so they have to have some feedback in order to bid.

There is always an bad feeling when you get buyers with 0 feedback. I just got one yesterday, wasn't expecting him to pay, but he paid. I look at the bidders list sometimes and there is always a couple 0 feedbacks. You might loose a couple bidders though by setting feedback requirements.

I thought you could only block feedback of -1 or more not 0. Haven't checked in a long time though, has this changed.

i add that they must have paypal, no policy violations etc .. if they sign up for paypal, at least it shows some type of seriousness in purchasing the item

You can NOT block ZERO feedback bidders/buyers.
You can only block bidders/buyers with a -1 or lower feedback score.

The ONLY way to block a ZERO feedback bidder/buyer is if you know their eBay ID and then you can add it to you Blocked Bidder List.

The best way to stop negative feedback from theses types of buyers is to put a disclaimer in writing in each listing such as "Absolutely no buyers with less than 5 feedback ratings." They can still bid, but they are not following the terms of the contract. Likewise, if they cause problems down the road, you have ammunition for which to work with eBay.

Blocking any bidders should be done with caution if the account is not very old.

PayPal required is bypassable if you just signup. There's a signup with paypal button and you turn off javascript because paypal's form on its site is broken and javascript must be turned off for it to work. Then you go and enter a password for your paypal account, and then click continue, then turn javascript back on and return to ebay. Suddenly you have a linked paypal account. It's done quick without needing to enter any other info except a password, unlike the normal slow signup process with paypal.

I have found that eBay is much more willing to suspend a 0 feedback account than one with feedback, however they tend to do that more to new account and not really with old accounts.

Still, you can try a false contact info claim and a claim they're raiding you (provided that they are in fact raiding you). Sometimes eBay just suspends them all.

my advice.. never deal with 0 feedbackers, unless you have a buy it now
or you block the bidders with unpaid strikes

otherwise you will bump into alot of non-paying bidders etc.

i wouldnt say not to deal with 0 feedback bidders as everybody has to start somewhere. Just set as many requirements as possible. The best one is requiring that the buyer have a paypal email

I had a buyer do this once. Everything was fine then they got all demanding about returning and threatened to leave feedback. I told them if you have a problem file a complaint with paypal then. They left negative feedback. I send the email header and email contents with their 'threat' to ebay and eventually the neg was removed and they were suspended.
