Default Paypal Debit Card-Request Denied

The last couple times ive requested a Paypal Debit Card they have denied it. Accounts are over 60 days so thats not it. I did update the mailing info, added card, made primary, etc..then requested the card..they said I can try again in 30 days. Anyone else having problems with this?

Seriously, you have 2 w/ Cookie Monster? Thats great...I don't think its the name...It includes the 2nd most popular first name and like 89th most popular last name in the US when I looked it up...

im thinking it might be because I added the new mailing address, card, and made it primary and deleted the "⊗⊗⊗⊗" address, and requested it right away...ive done this in the past so maybe its something new? but it said I can try again in 30 days so I guess i'll wait and try then...

Lizard, you will find that paypal makes you wait after changing information. Think bots. They are trying to avoid a fraud.

I have 4 cards over 4 accounts, are you saying that you can add an additional card to an exsisting account and double the $400 limit? I thought that the limit was the same regardless the number of cards on the same account.

I have the same problem. This is my first ⊗⊗⊗⊗ account, did everything by the book, even physically moved to another state. I'm not interested in having many ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts, because I sell products I make myself. My listings are PPal preferred, just like they love. Everything is real except the name. And I start selling after a month of rest and have earned nearly a 1k and after 60 days they declined to issue a debit card. No reason given. The reason I can only think of is that my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name doesn't have any account with any financial institution or SSN.
Now, I fear to call customer service, because they may ask me to send a copy of DL or give them a SSN and then If I don't have one, they could limit my account.
Right now I don't know how take money out except that I use PPal plugin to purchase things online - it works fine, until I tried to send Western Union - declined for some reason on W U side. Any suggestions?

D.

I ran into this problem with one of my accounts. I simply called up paypal after making sure my identification preferences were set to my bank account number. They told me that the reason that I was denied for a debit card was that my (virtual)credit card on file had not been used at all, which gave them one less factor to calculate in their review. They put in an appeal for me and assured me that i shouldn't have a prob...Keep you posted.

Hi all-

Having the same issue. Account has been fully up and running (thanks to Aspkin and this forum) for about 2 months now and was very excited about finally being able to get a debit card for our new account. The account is in my wife's name with all of her legit info. Applied the first day we were able to, got the denial e-mail last night. My only concern about appealing is that she used to have a debit card in her name on my old Paypal account. Do you think I should risk appealing and causing extra scrutiny to the account or should I just wait another 30 days and reapply? The VCC has been saving my butt, but it would still be nice to have one for gas, groceries, etc.

So her info is on both the old(suspended) account AND the new paypal account? Was a ss# given on the old account? In any event she can call paypal and they will tell her right away why she was denied and you have the OPTION to appeal or not.

The old Paypal account had my info with my ssn, but had an extra card issued in her name, never gave her SS#. My fear is that everytime we call or e-mail them, it seems like we get limited. I just got laid off before Christmas and have backup IDs created, but can't afford to wait another couple of months to build up the volume that we are used to (3000 items currently)

As a follow-up, I did e-mail Paypal and they denied our appeal for a debit card. They based on the amount of disputes that we've had in the past month (only 2, for stupid reasons without the buyer contacting us, refunded right away). Good news is that they didn't limit our account after asking
