Hi,

I have aged, business, phone verified,vba verified. But receiving this error "Some additional authorization is needed to complete this payment." when trying to send the money.

What is the problem ?

paypal is concerned about the transaction.

Is this a USA account?
Has there been recent activity?
What about the other party? What do you know of them.
Is the amount large?

Maybe I need make a call and ask.

USA account. Yes,I received few transactions week ago. It's $160 in the balance. Trying to make 10$ payment and getting such error.

Happens in the UK especially on newer accounts, % is higher of getting this within the first month.

$10 though is very low to be getting this.

Anything above $100 is problematic. Calling is risky... leave it a day or two and try again.

This has happened to me before. On many occasions, when I tried to send money to friends or seller, it would say "payment cannot be sent, please contact paypal customer service or try again later". All i did was wait for 8 hrs, and tried again. It worked with no problem.

I have seen this error when trying to send payment as a gift. It's not really an error...it's more of a trap to have you call Paypal.
