Default what will happen if I don't pay her?

Hi everyone, after my competitor reported me to ebay, my account is suspended for 7 days because of Copyright Violation and they said I could get reinstated later.

My competitor asked me to pay her money. Here is her email:

##################################################

I am attaching a spreadsheet that shows documented sales of &&&& you sold using my personal designs. The total amount of documented sales was $83.88.
You can remit payment to my paypal account at &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&.
Once again, I hope that this can be resolved without having to complicate matters through the legal system, but I will be passing my file to my attorney with the documented sales for him to handle if you prefer me to do that, but it will inevitably incur some legal fees with the above amount if he has to get involved. I will give you a few days to decide which method you would prefer.

#################################################

If I don't pay her, how serious could it be? Unfortunately I registered this account by all of my real information: real name, address, phone number.

She is in States and I'm in Canada.

I'm a new ebay seller so really need your help. Thank you very much.

That is about the funniest thing I have ever heard.
So ask her for her copyright/trademark paperwork for proof of ownership.

well, she did give me several of her copyright number, through ebay messages.
I was suspended before I had a chance to check they are true or not.
I guess they are true since ebay cancelled my listings and suspended me.
But maybe I'm wrong.
She wants my supplier's name and wants money from me.

Sigh.

Simple Fix.

WALK AWAY. STOP SELLING THE PRODUCT

Im pretty sure he/she is just trying to scare you into stopping..I doubt she would SERIOUSLY press the issue since its under $100...ANYBODY can threaten to sue..only a handful have the time an dedication to follow it through.

Let that account cool off and find a differnt product and use a differnt eBay name.

LOL, after re-reading your post..this person sent you a notice and told you to send money to their PayPal.LMAO.

Im pretty sure if a person is pressing you to send $83 to their PayPal they

1.)Are not doing too serious volume..
which leads to
2.)They are not going to have the resources to sue you or take legal action nor have the dedication

and I would also question whetere they own the "designs" you are speaking of, but only you would know if you stole the designs or not...If you did, follow the above advice.

Good Luck.

Oh, thanks. I have lots of stock. What should I do if I don't sell them?-:(
I have lots of designs and just 4 of them are hers. I didn't steal from her. I didn't know they are her designs.

I guess she knows my real information now. Maybe she already bought sth from me but I didn't know. If she did, then she knows my real information: name, phone number and address. That's what I worried about. She prepared this for a while.
I know it's funny. only $83. But she looks so serious.

Thank you guys for all the input. Really appreciate it.

I would get more verifiable information from her..check into the copyrights and her eBay history..But like i said, if she is threatening you to send $83.00 to her PayPal then she cant be too big a threat..If she provides verifiable information...then walk away, take the loss and move on or find a different sales channel.

I wouldnt take anyone serious who emails me out the blue telling me to send her $83 compensation to her PayPal..LOL, thats not how you operate in the REAL business world.

Also, real companies would have asked for your supplier, sales records, price you bought for, profit,etc..

Hi JamesYaBaoy, so you mean I shouldn't open a new account and sell my stuff, even not selling her designs? I thought it should be okay without selling her designs. maybe I'm wrong again.:-)

Also, from what you said, it seems even if her copyrights is not true, when she reports me to ebay, ebay can still suspend me? It's so ridiculous.

Thank you again.
