Do you NEED to confirm pp phone?

So i got a prepaid phone AT&T go phone and it would not get the texts to verify the account. I called and the guy said you dont NEED a phone verification but it would be useful. He said I can withdraw and receive payments just fine, is this true?

Almost non of my accounts have phone verified paypals

pretty common. If you use any phone apps, none of them work for paypal and most work for ebay.

get a google voice with the go phone and it should go thru
