Default Mulitple Chargebacks on same item?

Hi Everyone,

I have received Multiple Chargebacks for Unauthorized Purchase on the same item i have sold to different Buyers on Bonanza,

The item i sold was for $2,988.00, I sold at least 4 of these.

3 days later the buyer files a chargeback with PayPal saying he didn't authorize the purchase.

I added UPS tracking info and it even says it was signed for. I called Paypal and they removed the negative balance, and i was covered through seller protection,

I've had this happen several times on different items. would this become a issue with Paypal for them to look into my account?

I am running a Stealth PayPal Account.

Too many chargebacks wil become an issue yes.

If you are inadvertently costing paypal money they may take the decision to terminate your account. It makes business sense for them.

I couldn't say how many is too many. I imagine they have set percentages where they look at accounts closer if you exceed their limit.

Seeing as there's nothing you can do to prevent a charge back, I would not worry about it. Just deal with them as and when.

3 separate orders in the same week for the same very high dollar items for Unathorized charge is a very sever case of fraud by what sounds like one person or a group of people.

Odds of that happening again like that is rare, especially if they did not get the funds back.

Also, did paypal give you a "credit" and out the funds back in your account or did you WIN the chargebacks?
If it is a credit, then anytime within the next six months, you loose the chargebacks, they take the funds back.
If you are unclear, you might want to check with paypal to take precautions now if needed.

I've only received 1 chargeback for this item, before i receive the Payment, I get an email from PayPal saying they are reviewing the Payment for 24hrs, next day i get an email saying "Payment Review Outcome: Cleared, OK to Ship."

as far as i know they said i was covered through seller protection, and credited the funds back, but i dont see how i can loose the chargeback as every item ship is signed for and theres even proof of a signature.

Thats not a chargeback.

That usually happens when paypal either suspects the transaction or the payment amount is out of the buyers usual spending patterns.

It can take up to 24 hours for that review to complete.

I guess I misunderstood altogether.

A chargeback has nothing to do with paypal policies. That would be a paypal/ebay dispute. It is a credit card chargeback and follows credit card policies and federal laws.

So IF the credit card was stolen and was a legitimate unauthorized charge, you loose. It does not matter if you have a signature etc...

$9,000 would be alot money to loose, I've sold 10 items this past month on Bonanza, and just about every one ended up being a Chargeback filed saying they didn't authroize the purchase. wish there was a way this could be stopped.

What action did you take after the first chargeback?

One is bad enough... To have that many more is astounding!

Bonanza is a scam.... as you now know.

I've uploaded tracking info with Paypal for every order, so far Paypal has covered me. it seems like it only happens on the high priced items,

I've been doing so good on Bonanza, and dont even use ebay anymore.

You give a lot of incorrect information out

Paypal would still cover the seller for a charge back of unauthorized charge.

Not always... sometimes at the whim of paypal.

also another thing is the orders i have been shipped out that are ending up as chargebacks are not even being signed by the buyer that purchased the item, it's always under a different name.
