Question Today is 182 days after limited.......

And still cannot withdraw the funds.

Paypal say i must send them a driving licence ID and a bank statement first. Why on earth should i do that to access my money? and the account still stays limited. They told me previously that it would be automatically returned but that is clearly not the case.

Advice?

It has definitely been more than 180 days as ive noted it down on the day of limitation which was 17th of july 2015. But when i log into the account there is a warning message that i was limited dated 17 july 2015 too.

No email saying i can withdraw funds though.

I have had 4 paypal accounts in my life limited.

-Account 1 slowly (within 180 days) funds became available to withdraw
-Account 2 i could automatically withdraw funds after 180 days.
-Account 3 i had to contact paypal after 180 days asking why i cannot withdraw and they then fixed the account so i could then withdraw.
-Account 4 (this one i am talking about) has passed 180 days and they're asking for driving licence and bank statements via paypal messages. I haven't called them yet.

Give it a few more days.
If it still doesnt happen youll need to call them.
You might get a rep that tells you youll need to do send in those docs. Hang up and call in till you get one who is more cooperative. Start off the conversation by telling them it has been more than 180 days - as per THEIR email.

The 180 days starts from the date you received your last payment, it doesnt start from the date when you are limited.

Because paypal UK changed the game as of 2014 (October/November). They added this gem for the release of funds... Threads about it are on this forum.
It is not new news.

Another sad point is every paypal now gets treated differently. Not all limitations are done the same way . Very scary now.
Unless you have something in writing, always assume paypal are lying...

Yes, while on hold i kept refreshing the PP acc and noticed funds became available for withdrawal. He then came back off hold and said its sorted. I questioned the limitation and he said the ID i sent got rejected.

Just to clarify Bunneh - the 180 day "wait" does begin from limitation

This is a generic message paypal send....

After reviewing your PayPal account, we’ve determined there to be excessive risk involved in doing business with you and we’d like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least disruptive to your business.

If there is any money in your account balance, it will be held for 180 days (from the date of the last payment you received) to cover any disputes that might be opened by your buyers.

After 180 days, we may ask you to provide us with a proof of identity and a proof of address before you can withdraw any remaining balance.

If there are outstanding buyer complaints open against you, you can refund your customers via the Resolution Centre in your PayPal account.

We reserve the right to close any account reported to be involved in possible high-risk behaviour. In the event of a dispute, we’ll try to recover the money from you by debiting your PayPal balance first and, if there are insufficient funds in your PayPal balance, we reserve the right to collect your debt to PayPal by any other legal means.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter and regret any inconvenience it may cause you.

Which confirms bunneh is correct.

Bunneh is 100% correct on this one

Its from the date of the last payment

If they want to be a bit awkward about it though if your last payment was a week before the limitation they can decide to start it from the limitation itself (although they should not do that they still do)

You will find out you are wrong to.. paypal is legally bound by terms they set out.

Every paypal gets a different limitation.
You can get money released every 30 days or have to wait 180 days.
